Customer Rating:The book is great! If you follow everything they say, you will loose weight. I have lost 5 pounds in just the first week. A girl I work with has been on this diet for 6 weeks now and she has lost 15 pounds.

Customer Rating:I lost only 5 pounds the first week instead of 6, but otherwise the plan has worked according to what the book promised. I do recommend reading the entire book before beginning (I skipped the last couple of chapters until after I had been in about a week and a half). I have lost 7 pounds in 2.5 weeks and have really liked almost all of the food. The "secret fat-flushing cocktail" took a bit of getting used to, but I really like it now! I think the things I am learning from this book can be life-long benefits.

I have always had healthy eating habits & exercised regularly, but w/menopause I was unable to keep my weight responsible. Well after reading the first 30 pages into Carb Lovers you'll be reaching your whole grain pasta, oatmeal, beans, lentils and even potato chips? Holly cow! What's not to love about it?
The authors provide the reader with a key food element to be in place of your diet-"resistant starch" which should be including in every meal to sustain the weight loss process. Great pictures of many of the food choices the reader has at their figure tips which I found helpful while reading the recipes.
Will it work for everyone? Only time will tell.

Customer Rating:I was really excited to get started on this book and this new way of eating carbs...but within the first week I gained 4 pounds and had terrible headaches. I was also waking up in the middle of the night starving all the time. It is very expensive buying all the foods that they suggest, if you just eat sensible and with portion control you can lose weight but not with this book. Very disappointed after all the hype with this one.
